SUMMARY OF POSITION:

DEPARTMENT & PRACTICE OVERVIEW:

The Women & Babies Center is a high-risk obstetrical center specializing in complex maternal and neonatal care, in partnership with our Level IV NICU. Nurses provide care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn populations within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Newly hired nurses build a strong foundation in postpartum, newborn nursery, and antepartum care before advancing into Labor & Delivery training.

All nurses are cross-trained and rotate across areas of the Women & Babies Center based on patient needs, promoting a highly skilled, collaborative team and continuity of care across the perinatal continuum.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period
