Build Your Surgical Expertise in One of the Most Advanced OR Environments in the Region
Step into a traditional Operating Room Staff Nurse role that offers far more than routine perioperative care. At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, OR nurses are immersed in a progressive, high-acuity surgical environment where learning is constant, teamwork is essential, and professional growth is expected.
One of the most distinctive aspects of our program is the opportunity for all Operating Room nurses to learn to scrub — expanding clinical skillsets, deepening surgical understanding, and strengthening collaboration within the sterile field. This dual-circulator and scrub competency model empowers nurses to practice at the top of their license while building highly marketable surgical expertise.
