QRC Specialist: Innovation; Part Time

This role supports BFY (protein/functional) Innovation for HSY with a focus on food safety, speed to market, and non-traditional & joint venture approaches to develop, manufacture and market new BFY products.

• Lead QRC for Innovation and provide project support on front‑of‑funnel projects, ensuring food safety and quality are considered. Conduct quality design reviews and communicate knowledge to regional QRC personnel.
• Support program and process leadership:
  Identify and manage packaging and ingredient supplier approvals, prepare necessary documentation, provide on‑site support at manufacturing sites, and handle quality issue follow‑up and resolution with manufacturing, distribution, and logistics teams.
• Continuous improvement:
  Participate in program improvement using audit and KPI data, gap analysis, and CPG benchmarking to set yearly goals.

• At least 5 years of Food Quality experience in Protein, Better For You or Functional Foods areas.
• Experience in food manufacturing and new product development.
• Knowledge of Food Safety & HACCP, GMPs, FDA regulations, quality design principles.
• Capability to understand varied manufacturing processes (dairy, sweeteners, confectionery, cereal, nuts, etc.).
• FDA PCQI certification preferred.

• Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, SAP.

Part time (up to 30 hours) with potential for full time.
