Part-Time Cook I - Hershey's Chocolate World — Pay: $18.00 per hour or more based on your experience

Job Location: Hershey, PA

Minimum Age: 18 years or older

Availability: Requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday shifts

• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• Label and stock ingredients on shelves so they are organized and accessible.
• Parboil foods, reduce sauces, and prepare simple dishes like salads.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out the trash.
• Keep track of ingredient inventory and assist with ordering resupply in collaboration with kitchen staff.
• Assist chefs and other kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.

• Basic understanding of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes according to company standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Efficient time management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25-50 pounds; overhead lifting may be required.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; culinary school training is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
