Pastry Intern

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.

The Pastry Intern is responsible for completing regular daily food production in support of The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen and Milton's Ice Cream Parlor.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Prepare all assigned baking and pastry processes following recipe and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis; maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
  • Check quality of food items needed for daily mise en place, practicing proper rotation (FIFO) and prep levels.
  • Complete designated prep levels with consistency and without sacrificing food quality; maintain a high standard of food quality with demonstrated efficiency in the utilization of products to control food products.
  • Accept leadership and direction in order to carry out assigned tasks for the good of the team. Demonstrate fellowship skills within work group or station partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be enrolled in a pastry arts program or have one year of experience working in a full production bakery
  • Completion of high school or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
  • Displays and understands basic pastry skills and has solid baking techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively as a team player with supervisors, employees and customers.

Job Demands:

  • Company coordinated housing may be available for this opportunity depending on start date and availability for a weekly fee of $160.
  • This program is available for a Fall (August/September through December/January 2026/2027.)
