The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency: demanding direct attention to our brand commitment when servicing our customers and driving results. Responsible for upholding Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building on-going customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression.

- SALES FLOOR:
Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions that align with Company priorities. Takes ownership and delivers results while monitoring personal and store metrics; creates personal sales and clienteling strategies in partnership with management. Creates short- and long-term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals. Takes ownership of personal survey results and creates plans to improve and overcome areas of opportunity.
Represents Coach as a brand ambassador. Demonstrates Coach’s Selling and Service expectations at all times. Understands changes in local market and supports execution of local sales strategies and tactics. Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers and maintaining ongoing relationships. Creates positive impressions with customers by presenting oneself in Coach’s Guide to Style. Builds credibility as a personal fashion advisor with knowledge of fashion and competition.
Provides in-depth product knowledge, including features, benefits, current offerings, and overall product value. Communicates current pricing and promotional strategy. Discusses product features and uses cross-selling to build sales. Cross-sells and encourages relevant add-ons. Tailors approach to customer needs, reads cues, and attends to unique shopping needs. Works with multiple customers, follows up consistently to influence/close the sale. Adapts selling techniques to contribute to store financial results.
Builds lasting relationships, leverages tools and technology for clienteling, creates enthusiasm for a shared mission, promotes a team selling environment, and fosters collaboration. Remains solution-oriented and adaptable to changing business needs; welcomes feedback and maintains a calm, professional demeanor. - OPERATIONS:
Completes daily tasks without negatively impacting service or Coach standards. Maintains store (sales floor and backroom), cash wrap and visual merchandising to Coach standards. Keeps selling floor clean and tidy. Adheres to retail policies and procedures including POS, Operations and Asset Protection. Replenishes inventory on the sales floor as needed. Supports store inventory process by processing shipments, stocking shelves, and organizing product in stockroom and on the floor.
Supports cash-wrap during purchases, returns, and exchanges. Efficiently processes transactions and helps prepare the store, maintaining organizational standards and visual merchandising expectations.
- Experience:
1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and competition. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. - Technical:
Knowledge of cash registers, basic computer skills (including iPad/laptop, Mobile POS), walkie-talkie use, and ability to read price/product release sheets. - Physical:
Ability to work at a fast pace; communicate effectively; maneuver the sales floor, stock room; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for shipments/transfers. - Schedule:
