The Manager, HCW Retail & Warehouse leads the end‑to‑end retail store and warehouse operations at Hershey's iconic Chocolate World attraction, one of the most visited brand destinations in the country. This role is accountable for delivering world‑class guest experiences while driving strong financial performance, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and a culture of safety through the leadership of multiple operational leaders and frontline teams.
As a key people leader, the role integrates Hershey brand standards with disciplined retail and warehouse execution to ensure consistent, high‑quality operations across a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The Manager partners cross‑functionally to translate business priorities into daily execution, develop leadership capability at all levels, and continuously improve operational performance. Responsibilities
- Retail Store Operations Leadership – Leads day‑to‑day execution of the Hershey's Chocolate World retail store, ensuring guest experience standards, visual merchandising, point of sale execution, and seasonal readiness. Sets operational priorities and removes barriers for Operations Managers to deliver consistent, high‑volume performance.
- Warehouse, Inventory & Fulfillment Operations – Oversees back‑of‑house warehouse and inventory operations, including product flow, inventory accuracy, fulfillment efficiency, and shrink controls. Partners with Supply Chain and DTC teams to ensure inventory availability and disciplined execution across peak and non‑peak periods.
- Financial & Business Performance Management – Owns retail sales, margin, shrink, labor optimization, and inventory productivity targets. Analyzes performance trends, forecasts demand, and adjusts execution plans to deliver financial commitments.
- People Leadership & Capability Development – Leads and develops Operations Managers and Supervisors, building leadership capability and bench strength. Drives engagement, retention, performance management, and succession planning for a large, seasonal workforce.
- Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement – Champions safety, compliance, and operational excellence across retail and warehouse environments. Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and the end‑to‑end guest experience while ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Education –
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience –
- At least 5+ years leading multi‑unit food service and/or attraction operations.
- Experience managing high volume, seasonal, and flexible work forces.
