What You’ll Do as a Carpenter / Handyman You’ll be the expert customers rely on for high‑quality home and commercial repairs.

Responsibilities include:

Completing small to medium repairs and maintenance (2‑hour to 2‑day projects)
Communicating clearly with customers about scope, recommendations, and pricing

Delivering a “wow” experience using the repeatable Mr. Handyman Way Self‑managing your day while working independently

Providing excellent customer service, requesting reviews, and collecting payments

Using technology to document work and follow company processes

Maintaining safety standards, including PPE and protective booties in customer homes

Minimum Requirements To be considered, you must:

Live within the service area

Have 8+ years of paid handyman or carpentry experience

Own your own tools

Be insurable to drive a company vehicle

Pass a background and driving record check

Be able to lift 50 lbs independently

Safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods

Maintain a professional appearance and care for the company vehicle

Your Skillset You should be proficient in at least three of the following:

Carpentry Bathroom improvements

Kitchen improvements

Interior and exterior painting

Drywall repair (minor and major)
General plumbing and electrical (as permitted by law)
Flooring installation or refinishing

Understanding of building codes
