Electrician-Maintenance Technician II

MHS is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician II – Electrician to join its Facilities team. This journeyman-level position performs corrective, proactive, and preventive electrical maintenance on campus facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will bring strong electrical trade knowledge and hands-on experience, demonstrated through practical and written assessments. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations, including licensing requirements.
Assignments will be based on the technician's overall skill set, and the position may also provide support across other mechanical trade disciplines as needed. A full-time schedule shall consist of forty (40) hours of scheduled work with a minimum of two (2) days off. Work schedule is considered flex and the current need is Tuesday - Saturday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm.
Bargaining unit position with OPS-464. In addition to a competitive salary of $42.33 an hour, plus shift differential, our full-time employees receive generous health and insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.). Vacation and Paid Time Off, a company truck (utilized when on campus only), all tools as required (campus use only) and no on-call responsibility.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required Minimum three (3) years of current work experience with commercial and/or residential settings in conjunction with two (2) years of post-high school technical training in relevant fields such as:
Electrical Distribution Variable Frequency Drives Fire Alarm Systems Exterior/Site Lighting DDC Control Systems Electrical Apprenticeship Program (license desirable) Or, six (6) years of relevant current work experience in commercial and residential settings Valid PA Driver's License in good standing. CDL license a plus OSHA 10-Hour Training. OSHA 30-Hour Training a plus Building Management System experience is preferred Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS Staff are role models for MHS Students Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students.
