Reporting to the Dock & Warehouse Lead and working at the Technical Center, this position is part of a team that supports all Pilot Plant projects by assisting Project Leaders with ingredients, drum dumping, and retrieving assets needed for Projects. The role ensures safe and efficient transportation of palletized products, freestanding machinery, and other items, and manages equipment stored at the offsite warehouse.
Responsibilities include scheduling pickups and deliveries with building residents across company and non‑company facilities, maintaining accurate equipment records via Lot Tracking databases, setting up production equipment per GMP and QA standards, and serving as backup to the Dock and Warehouse Coordinators.

- Transportation Support: Schedules and coordinates pick‑up and deliveries of palletized products and equipment, ensuring safe, prompt transport to various facilities, managing equipment transfers between the offsite warehouse and the Tech Center, and maintaining time management to meet pilot plant needs.
- Equipment Support: Moves large, heavy equipment by hand and with lift trucks, sets up and disassembles pilot plant equipment after runs, maintains records of equipment locations and requests, and performs routine maintenance on lift trucks, aerial platforms, and pallet jacks.
- Dock Support: Assists in receiving small packages and palletized freight, ensures items are accounted for and properly disposed, prepares outbound shipments with safe packing, and prepares paperwork for shipment arrival.
- Warehouse Support: Uses high‑reach forklifts to receive goods, move materials, update locations, and store ingredients within a conditioned warehouse, maintaining accurate pallet locations and performing other management‑assigned duties.
- Ability to complete tasks timely with minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform bending, stooping, kneeling.
- Experience in fast‑paced, rapidly changing environments with multitasking and decision‑making.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, transportation, and international customs.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, sanitation, GMP, and QA guidelines.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing products and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with databases, SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Licensed power industrial truck operator (forklift, scissor lift, pallet lift, delivery truck).
- Valid PA driver’s license with safe driving record; DOT physical required.
- Ability to work on 10‑ft. ladders.
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years in a related field desired, with preference for experience in food processing, consumer goods, or manufacturing environments.
