Service Engineer Automated Gates
Location: hertfordshire
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per year
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a growing and established team specialising in automated gates and entry systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working with customers to provide high-quality service solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing upgrades, installing replacement equipment, and supporting a variety of automated access systems.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnosing faults on automated gates and entry systems.
- Carrying out breakdown repairs and servicing.
- Completing upgrades, replacements, and small installation works.
- Fault finding and repairing:
- Automated gates
- Barriers
- Intercom systems
- GSM systems
- Access control equipment
- Installing replacement parts and equipment.
- Providing excellent customer service while working on-site.
- Completing work safely and efficiently to a high standard.
- Previous experience within gate automation, automated entry systems, security systems, or a similar engineering background.
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
- Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Must be comfortable travelling to customer sites.
- Candidates must be able to drive and have their own transport.
- Salary £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience.
- Permanent opportunity.
- No weekends (unless overtime is wanted).
- No evening or bank holiday call-outs.
- Sensible travel distances most sites within approximately 1 hour.
