We are seeking a mission driven and dedicated Dental Receptionist for our Mobile Dental Clinic based in Hesperia. Bilingual (English/Spanish) Demonstrates the ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish without an interpreter. Committed to providing high-quality care to underserved patients in High Desert. St.

Jude Neighborhood Health Centers utilizes EPIC for our Electronic Medical/Dental Records (EMR) system. 16-Hours Per Week (Tuesday & Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm) Must be willing to drive Mobile Dental Clinic as needed $22.00 - $23.60 Per Hour.

Essential Functions (What You Do) As the first line of dental service for the High Desert, the Dental Receptionist serves as a crucial role being the first point of contact for new and returning patients. Answer phones and answer general questions. Greet patients upon arrival and provide excellent customer service. Schedule patients, assist with forms, help solve issues related to appointments, insurance/fees, and other general patient questions within our dental clinics.

Enters and updates patient's electronic information. Gathers any information relating to patients' dental medical records. Connect patients to dental providers, resourcing patients to informed answers on their dental health.

Responsibilities

The Dental Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, answering phones, greeting patients, and providing excellent customer service. They also schedule appointments, assist with forms, and manage patient information.

Qualifications

Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or GED
License/

Certifications:

California Driver’s License (if driving mobile) and clean driving record

Experience:

Preferred previous experience with patients in a medical or dental setting
Ability to resolve patient questions and concerns.
Computers savvy and have previous working knowledge of an automated scheduling system.
3 months of cash handling and balancing experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
