These are anticipated openings for the 2026-27 school year are located at various school site TBD. We operate on a modified traditional calendar with school beginning in August and ending the end of May. We will interview as we receive qualified candidates.

INCENTIVES for CREDENTIALED APPLICANTS:

• $5,000 signing bonus
• Placement on our salary schedule commensurate with your current salary OR credit for years of full-time experience, whichever is higher
• Moving expense stipend not to exceed $2,500 for candidates who must relocate to accept a position. (Proof of relocation may be required)

INCENTIVES FOR APPLICANTS NOT FULLY CREDENTIALED, but are Intern Eligible:

• $2,500 signing bonus

Special Ed Case Carriers also receive an annual stipend of $2500. The candidate must sign an agreement acknowledging that he/she may be required to serve in the position for not less than five (5) years. Failure to meet this requirement may result in a payroll deduction of the signing bonus and/or moving expenses.

HUSD accepts a maximum of 20 years of outside teaching experience. We anticipate the first work day for teachers to be Monday, August 3, 2026. Our teachers do make a contribution towards their benefit package. Benefit costs for 2026-27 are still to be determined.
