A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide school-based nursing and case management services across several locations in the High Desert region, including Bakersfield, Tehachapi, and Oro Grande, California.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care and health services to students within school settings.
- Manage student healthcare plans and coordinate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
- Provide case management to ensure compliance with health regulations and student wellness.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
- Support special education teams with health-related assessments and interventions as needed.
- Respond to student medical emergencies and create a safe school environment.
- Valid RN license in California.
- Experience in school nursing and case management.
- Ability to travel between multiple sites, including Bakersfield, Tehachapi, and Oro Grande.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Location:
Primarily based out of Oro Grande, CA with work at schools across the High Desert, including Bakersfield and Tehachapi.
Terms:
Contract position starting ASAP through the End of School Year (EOSY), with potential extension through Extended School Year (ESY) and a strong chance for renewal.
Hours:
Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week, with frequent opportunity for overtime.
This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse interested in supporting student health services within a varied and active educational environment.
