Position Overview:

The Operations Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by administering safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, client, and Service Master by Crane IFS standards, and reducing workplace risk across assigned operations. This role serves as the primary safety resource for operational leadership by conducting inspections, investigating incidents, developing corrective actions, and delivering OSHA and CPR/First Aid training.

The Operations Safety Coordinator partners closely with operations to drive continuous safety improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver construction OSHA-authorized training (OSHA-10 and OSHA-30) as an OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500), CPR, First Aid, AED, new hire safety orientation, toolbox talks, and other required safety training programs in both English and Spanish.
  • Develop, implement, and administer safety programs in compliance with OSHA, client, and company requirements.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments, ensuring timely correction of identified deficiencies.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses, and safety concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, safety records, compliance documentation, and safety performance metrics.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, safe work practices, and company safety policies.
  • Partner with operational leadership to improve safety performance and ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company standards.
  • Assist with client safety audits, regulatory inspections, compliance reviews, and recommend continuous safety improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to interpret and apply OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Ability to develop and deliver OSHA, CPR, First Aid, and safety training programs.
  • Ability to identify workplace hazards and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations, inspections, audits, and root cause analyses.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to organize and maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple operational locations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Physical Demands:

  • Current OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer status (OSHA 500) required.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Instructor certification required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
