• Read and write English, and interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra).

• Maintain assigned store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes to validate rotation, and stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by management.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing current store and product information.
• Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost or damaged goods and store supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
