Equine Surgeon – Full-Time (4-Day Work Week) – Sign-On Bonus
Waller Equine Hospital | Northwest Houston, TX
Exciting opportunity at Waller Equine Hospital! We are seeking a board-eligible or ACVS board-certified equine surgeon to join our thriving five-doctor referral and primary care practice in beautiful northwest Houston, Texas.
We offer a flexible full-time schedule (4-day work week), a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
Board-eligible candidates will receive 3 months of study leave to prepare for board examinations.
Fully equipped surgical suite with two recovery stalls
- Two examination rooms
- Stallion collection area, mare stocks, and repro lab
- 15 standard stalls, 5 ICU stalls, and an isolation unit
- 15 turnout paddocks of various sizes
- Staffed 24/7 by experienced veterinary technicians to ensure exceptional care for all hospitalized patients
- Digital radiography & ultrasonography
- Video gastroscopy & endoscopy
- Arthroscopy & laparoscopy
- Regenerative laser therapy & shockwave therapy
- Anderson sling
- Full in-house laboratory + onsite Coggins testing
- State-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring with positive pressure ventilation
Our diverse caseload includes pleasure horses and both English and Western performance horses. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing elective and emergency surgeries
- Managing lameness cases and evaluations
- Overseeing in-patient and out-patient medical care
- Participating in limited ambulatory work
- Sharing on-call duties with the team

Must be board-eligible or ACVS (American College of Veterinary Surgeons) board-certified in equine surgery.
Licensing:
