First Baptist Church of Hewitt, Texas, is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship.
We are a gospel-centered Southern Baptist church averaging 215 in worship, committed to making disciples who love Christ, love His church, and love their neighbors. Our worship is intergenerational—blending old and new hymns in modern arrangements with a focus on congregational singing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead weekly worship services in partnership with the Senior Pastor
- Recruit, equip, and shepherd musicians, vocalists, and tech team members
- Develop future worship leaders and encourage congregational engagement
- Provide pastoral care, teaching, and discipleship as part of the pastoral team
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years ministry experience (5+ preferred)
- Strong vocal or instrumental ability and musical training
- Theological alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
- A pastor’s heart, committed to biblical discipleship and servant leadership
Salary and housing allowance commensurate with experience, generous vacation and leave, 10% retirement after one year, and a collaborative staff culture.
