Job Title: Material Handler (2nd Shift)

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Hire

Pay/Salary: $20.00/hr – $22.00/hr to start DOE

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 2 PM to 10 PM + OT as needed (Must be able to work between 10 hours of OT a week)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler to work for one of our amazing client companies! he ideal candidate will possess significant experience in handling steel, operating forklifts, and utilizing overhead cranes. This role requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, and unload steel materials.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance.
• Accurately record material transactions and maintain inventory control.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse for efficient material storage and retrieval.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the facility.
• Cross Train in other departments as determined by plant supervisors

• Proven experience in material handling, particularly with steel.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the steel industry.
• Certification in forklift and overhead crane operation.
