Position SummaryOvernight Stocking Coach, Non-Complex. Responsible for leading and developing teams by providing training, coaching, and feedback to associate staff. Oversees daily store operations, focuses on inventory management, merchandising, and financial performance. Works closely with leadership to implement business initiatives, maintain store presentation, and achieve sales and profit goals.
What You'll Do• Lead and develop store teams through effective training and coaching.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates on store operations.
• Implement business solutions, merchandising strategies, and company direction.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
• Manage customer service initiatives, resolve complaints, and drive process improvements.
• Review and evaluate profit and loss statements, assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
• Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
• Hire, train, mentor, and develop hourly associates, set expectations, and provide recognition.
• Coordinate job‑related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and measure performance results.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.
• Foster a culture of belonging by embracing diverse people, cultures, ideas, and experiences.
Minimum Qualifications2 years’ college education; OR 1 year’ retail experience AND 1 year’ supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience AND 1 year’ supervisory experience.
• For firearm‑selling facilities: completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For ammunition facilities: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
• Attendance and successful completion of all required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred QualificationsBachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership, or equivalent with demonstrated supervisory experience of at least five direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
