Full-Charge Bookkeeper, in the Raleigh-Durham area and will be a remote role. You must reside within an hour of Durham, Raleigh area.
About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end accounting functions for a small firm that supports a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a hands-on professional who can handle multiple sets of books, ensure accuracy across all financial records, and deliver timely reporting. Key Responsibilities- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all client accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
- Oversee client billing and collections processes.
- Handle sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting as needed.
- Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation and year-end reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar role (3+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
