Full-Charge Bookkeeper, in the Raleigh-Durham area and will be a remote role. You must reside within an hour of Durham, Raleigh area.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end accounting functions for a small firm that supports a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a hands-on professional who can handle multiple sets of books, ensure accuracy across all financial records, and deliver timely reporting. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all client accounts.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
  • Oversee client billing and collections processes.
  • Handle sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting as needed.
  • Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation and year-end reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
REQUIRED:
  • Proven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar role (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficiency in Quick Books (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
