Legal Assistant

Position: Legal Assistant-FT
Gordon & Partners - Legal Assistant – Stuart, FLGordon & Partners is a law firm that stands up for the injured and we fight to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve! We are seeking to hire a full-time Legal Assistant who is highly organized, has a stable employment history and administrative experience to join our growing business in our consumer class action department at our law firm.

Your main focus will be requesting medical records.

Responsibilities:

Opening files

Complete and scan forms

Draft and send letters

Maintain clients' files

Request/follow up with consumers for documents solidifying potential consumer law claim(s)
Contact clients to obtain physical status

General clerical duties, including mail room work Filing and sorting of documents

Uploading pdf documents to electronic discovery platforms

Data entry

Copy/scan documents

Collect incoming mail floor

Scan mail into proper files in case management system (ATO)
Occasional meetings with clients

Translate for clients when meeting with paralegals/attorneys (Spanish preferred)
Phone calls, such as speaking with potential clients and clients

Cover phones for reception, as needed

Assist in whatever is needed

Additional duties as assigned

Legal Assistant experience preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Job Type:Full-time

Pays:$20 to $22 an hour

Schedule:

Monday – Friday8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
