• Starting Salary: $31,200.00 / $15.00/hr.
• Pay Grade Z-150
• Non-Exempt

Applicable.

• High school graduate or GED.
• Associate degree in Library Science or Education is preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in public library service, bookstore, or related field.
• A comparable amount of directly related experience may be substituted at the City’s discretion.
• Working knowledge of computer and technology systems.
• Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and the public.

• Responsible for the full range of circulation desk duties, shelf maintenance, and clerical functions using a collection management system.
• Maintain inventory of library materials to include shelving, shelf-reading, sorting, alphabetizing, shifting, moving books, and other library materials, emptying book drops, processing lists, search and recovery of missing library materials, and processing donated items.
• Assists patrons with locating materials and books, computer registration, internet and other technology.
• Maintains and troubleshoots library equipment to include computers, photocopier and audio‑visual equipment.
• Performs light housekeeping as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service.

• The selected candidate will have a background check completed.
• Possession and maintenance of a current valid Florida driver license is also required before employment.
• Tasks completed for this position involve extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, stooping, and reaching above shoulder level.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on the proven abilities of the individual selected. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
