Assistant Administrator

The Assistant Administrator provides essential administrative support to the center administrator in overseeing the patient flow and the daily operations of the medical center. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform administrative and office duties for the center administrator.
  • Provide indirect supervision to medical staff, front desk staff, environmental staff and other staff as assigned in the absence of the center administrator.
  • Review and approve timecards and personal time off (PTO) requests for assigned associates as directed by the center administrator.
  • Assist the center administrator by responding to emails, answering telephone calls, and completing assigned tasks.
  • Handle confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all staff members answer telephone calls in a timely and polite manner; demonstrate exceptional customer service; and communicate with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
  • Oversee and maintains a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
  • Provide health insurance information and forms to employees as instructed by the Department of Human Resources.
  • Assist the administrator with the completion of reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies.
  • Ensure that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.
  • Perform duties in honest and ethical manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education/

    Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • MS Office programs experience.
  • Must have CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Training and certification can be provided upon hire.

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices

  • Ability to work with individuals within and outside the organization, in professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to supervise and manage multiple associates.

  • Bilingual skills preferred (English/Spanish or English/Creole)
