Senior Technician – Firestone Complete Auto Care & Tires Plus
Position SummaryThe Senior Technician position requires technical expertise in diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, and it demands strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. The role is part of Bridgestone Retail Operations’ network of more than 2,200 company‑owned stores across North America.
Pay Range$19.57 – $32.02 per hour, paid via an established flat‑rate model that rewards each completed eligible task.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems – brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems – to specifications.
- Explain technical diagnoses and repair needs to customers in clear, non‑technical language.
- Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment. Technician fees are covered by the company; bonuses are awarded for each passed test.
- Valid automobile driver’s license at all times with ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignment.
- Proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical people; reading, writing, and math skills.
- 3 years of automotive repair experience with third‑party assessments or certifications.
- Completion of a Vocational‑Technical School Program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1–A8 (L1 certification acceptable).
