About the Opportunity

Ocean Mazda Doral is seeking skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technicians / Mainline Technicians to join our growing Service Department.

We are looking for experienced automotive professionals who take pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly, efficiently, and safely. Whether your experience is with Mazda or another automotive manufacturer, we are interested in technicians who demonstrate strong technical ability, productivity, professionalism, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns accurately and efficiently.

  • Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership specifications.

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary maintenance and repair needs.

  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, cooling, electrical, HVAC, and other vehicle systems within the technician's level of training and certification.

  • Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, technical service information, and manufacturer resources to identify vehicle concerns.

  • Perform road tests when necessary to verify customer concerns and completed repairs.

  • Review repair orders and ensure customer concerns are properly addressed.

  • Document diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and completed work accurately.

  • Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Advisor or appropriate management personnel.

  • Provide accurate information regarding required parts and anticipated repair time.

  • Complete assigned repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

  • Follow Mazda repair procedures, technical service bulletins, recalls, and manufacturer guidelines when applicable.

  • Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation necessary to support warranty claims.

  • Perform repairs correctly the first time whenever possible.

  • Conduct quality-control checks before returning vehicles to customers.

  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

  • Follow dealership safety procedures and applicable environmental requirements.

  • Protect customer vehicles and property while vehicles are in the technician's care.

  • Participate in Mazda manufacturer and dealership training.

  • Complete required technical certifications and continuing education.

  • Assist and mentor entry-level technicians when appropriate.

  • Work cooperatively with Service Advisors, Parts personnel, other technicians, and Service Management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.
