Surveyor in Training II (SIT) – Tavares, FL!
Halff has an opening for a land surveyor in training, with opportunities to learn and work with licensed Florida PSMs and seek future survey licensure.
What you will do:- Organize research for field surveys.
- Join and assist field crews as needed.
- Reduce field observations.
- Prepare data for drafting.
- Assist the PSM by preparing Survey Reports.
- Prepare deed sketches.
- Prepare COGO calculations.
- Assist the PSM with the Boundary and Right of Way Analysis.
- 3-5 years' experience in the field or office directing survey crew for boundary, topographic, site, utility, or construction surveys.
- SIT certification is preferred, or on the path to getting certified.
- Previous field experience as a surveyor is a plus.
- FDOT, Public Works, or Land Development survey experience is a plus.
- Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus.
- Bachelor's in Geomatics or equivalent survey-focused degree for licensure required.
- Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
