General Description

This position at Hubbard Construction Company will provide customer service support for Mid Florida Materials. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing customer support, document reviewing, and data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule incoming service requests by creating work orders into system
  • Route and track submittals, verify purchase orders, and tag work orders in various customer portals
  • Resolve any customer issues and manage composure in escalating situations
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Collaborate with other team members and assist other CSRs with overflow
  • Business casual and conservative attire
Additional Duties May Include
  • Fully support and be the back end for the sales team
  • Process monthly roll-off rental charges
  • Take credit card payments
  • New customer account creation/set up
  • Save service agreements, authorization forms and customer documents in the ERP
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Answer phone calls and ensure calls and messages are resolved appropriately
  • Ensure accuracy in all tasks
  • Assist the Billing team with questions to ensure accurate billing to our customers
  • Assist accounting with invoice collections and service billing discrepancies
  • Other office duties as assigned and requested
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
  • Strong PC Skills and basic Excel knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent customer service communication via phone and email
  • Handle a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
Education and/or Experience
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Three years’ general office experience preferred.
  • Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work with constant interruption.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
  • Frequent ability to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone;
  • Frequent ability to operate standard office equipment, using hand and arm dexterity;
  • Frequent vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Infrequent ability to navigate through office environment, including periodic use of stairs and/or elevator, as needed;
  • Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds
Work Environment
  • Work is performed predominately indoors.
  • Work environment periodically exposes the employees to elevated levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
  • Employees occasionally works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
  • Some exposure to a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel and ready mixed concrete.
