This role focuses on reducing customer churn, recovering lost leads and former customers, resolving customer concerns, and strengthening customer relationships through proactive communication and service recovery.
The Sales Retention Specialist serves as a liaison between Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience while maximizing customer lifetime value.
Primary Responsibilities:
Customer Retention Contact customers requesting to cancel service.
Understand and document cancellation reasons.
Present solutions and service recovery options.
Coordinate with Operations to resolve customer concerns.
Retain accounts whenever possible.
Customer Recovery Execute lost lead win-back campaigns.
Contact former customers to regain business.
Follow up on unsold estimates and opportunities.
Maintain a consistent pipeline of recovery opportunities.
Customer Health Monitoring Monitor and proactively contact at-risk customers identified through:
Repeat service requests
Negative NPS survey responses
Missed appointments
Service reschedules
Customer complaints
Escalated customer concerns
Multiple office contacts
Revenue Growth Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, including:
Pest Control Mosquito Control Lawn Care Termite Protection Rodent Services Commercial Services Recommend additional services that provide increased value and protection for customers.
Customer Experience Conduct customer follow-up calls.
Ensure customer expectations are being met.
Resolve service concerns before they result in cancellation.
Build long-term customer relationships through proactive communication.
Previous experience in sales, customer service, retention, account management, or inside sales preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with CRM and customer management software.
