Position OverviewWe are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and energetic VPK Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring compliance with Florida’s VPK standards.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement High Scope-inspired lessons aligned with the Florida VPK Education Standards
. - Create and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes independence, collaboration, and learning through play.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress using authentic assessment tools.
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and updates.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure a consistent, high-quality educational experience for all students.
- Maintain classroom organization, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
- Must meet Florida Department of Education VPK Teacher Requirements
, including one of the following:- Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC or equivalent)
- Florida Staff Credential and completion of the Department of Education VPK training modules
- High school diploma or higher required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. - Minimum one year of experience working with preschool-age children.
- Knowledge of the High Scope Curriculum or willingness to be trained.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Passion for early education and a genuine love for working with young children.
