City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class academic support and small-group tutoring in partnership with teachers
• Build positive, mentoring relationships with students to encourage engagement and attendance
• Support classroom management and create a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Track student progress and assist with documenting outcomes and interventions
• Assist with school-wide events, after-school programs, and family engagement activities
• Collaborate closely with a diverse Ameri
• Corps team and school staff
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Promote City Year's values of service, equity, and social justice in daily work
