At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are looking for world class manufacturing engineers to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. If you share our passions and vision, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, excel on integrated cross-functional teams of individuals, are experienced and skilled in several relevant technologies (even if perhaps not in the aerospace industry), continuously seek out opportunities to learn and improve, and do not allow title or job description to limit the depth or breadth of your contributions, then we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
  • Identifying tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
  • Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
  • Non-conformance report (NCR) generation, management, & closure.
  • Supporting introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.
  • Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
Team Focus & Domain Expertise

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a fluids background to support the design, development, and production of fluid system components and assemblies for our launch vehicles and engine programs. This role bridges fluid system engineering knowledge with hands‑on manufacturing expertise to ensure our hardware is built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of fluid dynamics, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and propellant handling, combined with a passion for translating complex designs into repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes.

OR

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer - Structures to join our team and play a critical role in the design, development, and production of aerospace structural hardware. In this role, you will bridge the gap between structural design engineering and production, ensuring that advanced metallic and composite structures are manufactured efficiently, affordably, and to the highest quality standards. You will work in a fast‑paced environment where innovation and a bias for action are essential.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar:
Level III : 5+ years of experience
Sr. Level : 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands on experience with building flight hardware
  • Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites.
