Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

The Junior Estimator reports to the Estimator. His or Her primary responsibility is to prepare cost estimates & takeoffs for residential, commercial, and municipal building projects based on the use of construction plans and industry knowledge.

• Review and analyze drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness and potential conflicts.
• Identify missing information and assist in the preparation of RFIs.
• Understand contractual terms and conditions as it pertains to the final bid.
• Assist with the preparation of bid packages and proposals.
• Provide detailed quantity takeoffs including earthwork, utilities, concrete, erosion control and related scopes.
• Request and organize subcontractor quotations.
• Meet with potential clients for pre-bid walks.

• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience and familiarity with the civil construction industry.
• Clear and fluent knowledge of computers and experience working with Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to use CAD programs.
• Exceptional communication skills.

• Graduate of an engineering or construction management program.
