NOTE:
This is a 40 hour/week contract position anticipated to last through all of 2026 and potential into 2027. Work may be performed remotely within the contiguous United States, with travel as required for business needs.
The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) design engineering organization generates technical requirements and associated design parameters for the modular advanced light water reactor (ALWR) NSSS. Utilizing proven state-of-the-art methodologies NSSS components are engineered to nuclear industry standards. The person in this position will perform a range of activities associated with the design, analysis, and manufacture of pressure vessels, related components, reactor vessel internals, and/or supports in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), Section III, and applicable regulatory requirements.
All work within the NSSS Engineering design organization is completed under ASME NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and respective U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.

- Education:
A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, from a four‑year ABET accredited college or university is required. A professional engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of full‑time relevant working experience is required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience with engineering design, including personal accountability for design decisions.
