Events Coordinator

Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an Events Coordinator to provide logistical support and coordination for event activities at Kennedy Space Center. This is a full‑time position.

• Receive, evaluate, and coordinate event requests.
• Oversee aspects of event coordination and management for both internal and external events.
• Meet with clients to arrange event details (e.g., plans, food, entertainment, staff, cleanup).
• Scout and book event locations.
• Determine logistical support (e.g., audio visual, facilities, photography, catering, room, speaker support).
• Facilitate guest and event operations, to include logistical and operational requirements.
• Maintain a contact database containing information such as names, addresses, titles, etc. for event participants/special guests.
• Support onsite events to ensure engagement and consistent communication.
• Generate routine and/or ad‑hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers.
• Directly interface with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customers.

5+ years experience in event planning and coordination. High School diploma or GED. Experience in quickly resolving issues requiring rapid‑turn around. Must be proactive, and customer and results‑oriented. Must have outstanding communication skills and be comfortable interacting with people. Must be a US citizen.
