Benefits Analyst

Role Overview

Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Analyst to join our growing team in Miami‑Dade, FL. The Analyst’s primary responsibility is to analyze information to create financial deliverables for current and prospective clients, focusing on large group fully‑insured clients and self‑funded benefit programs.

• Conduct financial analytics for clients with over 100 lives and those that are self‑funded.
• Prepare analyses in accordance with the client service calendar and financial meetings.
• Perform market review analysis, renewal rate and funding projections, claims utilization rate, contribution analysis, benchmarking, and financial funding analysis (fully insured vs self‑funded).
• Execute technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements.
• Act as a resource for Benefit Producers and Account Executives to develop strategic plans and solutions for clients and prospects.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure strategic objectives are clearly articulated and proactive solutions are implemented.
• Participate in occasional client face‑to‑face meetings and conduct open enrollment meetings.
• Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.

• High school degree.
• 2 or more years of employee benefits experience in a similar role.
• Clear knowledge of group benefit plans.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and proficiency in Word.
• Florida Life & Health insurance license.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Knowledge of CEBS (preferred).
