Medical Staff Coordinator

Position: Medical Staff Coordinator (Full-Time)
Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the hospital's medical staff functions, with a strong emphasis on credentialing and privileging of physicians, allied health professionals, and other licensed independent practitioners. Prior experience in credentialing is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.

* Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in credentialing and/or medical staff services in a healthcare setting is required.

* Working knowledge of credentialing databases such as MD-Staff, Echo, or similar systems.

* Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS, NCQA, and state accreditation standards as they relate to medical staff credentialing.

* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
