Overview
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator for the Temple Terrace, FL location. The role involves overseeing patient service center activities within an assigned area and performing phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures.
Work ScheduleMonday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays as assigned. Additional days and hours may be required.
Responsibilities- Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues to supervisors
- Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
- Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations as necessary
- Address customer service issues promptly and respectfully
- Promote teamwork, cohesion, and communication among coworkers
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Coordinate and oversee activities of Patient Service Centers within the assigned area, working closely with PSC staff, management, laboratory staff, and clients to ensure optimal operation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Three or more years of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program (counts in lieu of experience)
- In‑depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities, and techniques
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test
