Job Purpose:
The MA Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed professional. The role involves assisting clients in managing and overcoming mental and emotional issues, promoting mental health, and supporting overall well-being. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and appropriate treatment plans.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Collaborate with licensed therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Educate clients and their families about mental health issues and coping strategies.
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Uphold the values and mission of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER by delivering compassionate and client-centered care.
Required
Education:
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably in a similar role.
Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health issues.
Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
Required
Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment approaches.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Proficient in documentation and maintaining accurate client records.
Capability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility and adaptability in handling various client needs and organizational changes.
