Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Associate also parks and retrieves guest vehicles promptly and safely, and assists guests with luggage delivery during arrival and departure.

Essential Functions
  • 25% – Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor and their last names.
  • 10% – Uses the salutation of the day and welcomes guests; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette; posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • 20% – Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, assists guests with bell services and luggage storage, opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • 10% – Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities of the facility and main attractions; delivers messages, items or guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations.
  • 35% – Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues and collects claim checks; completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and receipt; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure:
    Valid driver’s license for the state in which you will work.
  • Work experience:

    One month related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English.
    • Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and employees.
    • Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of three‑digit numbers and use of American money units).
    • Understanding of 24‑hour and military time, and of applicable rates.
    • Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking (highly desirable).
Scope of Authority

The job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures, with work checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

Compensation

Base pay range is $10.98 per hour plus $8–$10 per hour in tips, with compensation based on job related skills, experience, education, training and location.

Work Schedule

AM/PM shift schedule.

Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment and hours worked; seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Responsibilities include standing or sitting for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects up to 100 pounds occasionally, and working outdoors in extreme heat or cold. May require climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.

Travel

Up to 5% of the job may involve travel.
