Job OverviewWe are looking for a full time Bellman/Driver to greet guests, valet cars, assist with luggage, and shuttle guests to various locations in the Tampa Bay Area as needed. Must be 25 years or older to fulfill insurance requirements. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays.

- Greet and assist every guest upon arrival and departure.
- Open doors for guests while at the bell stand.
- Assist valet during peak times.
- Provide courteous guest services by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints.
- Retrieve guest luggage and other requested personal items from cars, buses, vans and place them on bell carts to transport to guests' assigned rooms.
- Place luggage and requested personal items from guests' rooms onto bell carts to the front desk area and load into guests' vehicles.
- Escort guests to room accommodations and visually inspect the guestroom and telephone for any deficiencies such as towels and make sure the room is ready. Point out room features and guest directory.
- Maintain an enthusiastic, pleasing and helpful attitude toward each guest and fellow employees.
- Be professionally groomed in the prescribed uniform, including nametag and nonskid shoes, on each scheduled shift.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries with a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and offer assistance, providing accurate information regarding outlet hours, resort services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, taxi service, and more.
- Distribute resort information to guests and inform them at every opportunity.
- Comply with all Safety Harbor Resort and Spa policies and procedures.
- Know the daily event schedule and direct guests to functions as needed.
- Report to the bell stand on time and in full uniform for scheduled shifts.
- Remain visible and available to guests at all times.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Maintain the destination log current; keep it on the Guest Services station so other staff know where to locate you.
- Ensure that the front office, lobby, guest services stand, and other public areas remain clean and uncluttered at all times.
- Report all cash tips to the accounting payroll office.
- Organize and store luggage as necessary in the designated area.
- Assist guests with any special needs assistance, such as wheelchair retrieval.
- Deliver items such as flowers, mail, faxes, etc. to guest rooms in an efficient and timely manner.
- Deliver packages that arrive at the bell desk to resort offices.
- Check the work schedule and inform the Front Office Manager of any discrepancies.
- Make reservations, appointments and arrange transportation for guests as needed.
- Report any safety concerns to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
- Complete daily checklists.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Age 25 or older to fulfill insurance requirements.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods.
- Ability to work with groups of different cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to walk the length of the resort continuously throughout the scheduled shift.
- Ability to push a bell cart continuously during the shift.
- Ability to push bell stand carts, which can weigh well over 200 lbs when loaded with luggage, through the day and up ramps.
- Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop, reach, and stand.
- Ability to pick up luggage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and guest-service oriented during heavy check-in and check-out periods.
- Ability to make reservations and appointments and arrange transportation for guests.
- Ability to work outdoors and change between inside and outside during the scheduled shift.
