Position SummaryThe Payroll Manager will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S.
-based employees and ensure accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Manage and process accurate and timely payroll for U.S. employees across multiple states.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and tax regulations.
- Ensure proper calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and reimbursements.
- Oversee payroll tax filings and assist with year-end processes, including W-2 and 1099 forms.
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy and correct discrepancies promptly.
- Work with HR teams to process new hires, terminations, pay changes, and benefits deductions.
- Prepare payroll reports for internal use and maintain secure payroll records.
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee data at all times.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification.
- Experience processing payroll for multi-location or franchise-based organizations.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and integrations.
