Position Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing human resources support for the facility, which includes talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee orientation, employment processing, records management and data integrity, unemployment correspondence, and employee activities. The role maintains outstanding employee competency and personnel file updates, and ensures the confidentiality of all data and information.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the full‑cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job‑posting, screening and interviews, hiring and onboarding. Identifies future hiring needs and develops recruitment campaigns and strategies, engaging external and internal resources and managing the recruitment budget. Ensures compliance with standards such as file documentation, background checks, primary source verification, e‑verify, and pre‑employment drug testing.
  • Facilitates the Hospital Orientation and CSBH Onboarding Program, preparing and developing material with the HR Director. Develops and presents orientation materials for assigned HR‑related topics and facilitates class discussions and training.
  • Maintains thorough and accurate data in all HR systems and processes personnel actions, including new hires, terminations, evaluations, promotions, transfers, and FTE changes.
  • Tracks and maintains records of required employee licensure/certifications, backgrounds, performance evaluations, and competencies, coordinating timely completion with leadership and employees.
  • Participates in the Service Excellence Committee, recruiting members, planning agendas, distributing minutes, and leading events focusing on employee engagement. May participate after hours and weekends and coordinates employee recognition programs.
  • Prepares and maintains HR personnel files in an organized and timely manner, audits files to ensure current and accurate information, and documents corrective measures as needed.
  • Communicates and enforces organizational policies and practices, suggesting improvements to ensure consistent application of policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Respiratory Fit testing is a requirement of the job.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Equivalent years of HR experience may substitute for some of the education requirements. HR certification preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in human resources required. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Experience in talent acquisition preferred.
