Position Overview
The UBIF Technician - Google performs device diagnostics, component-level repairs, and customer support for Google-branded hardware. This role focuses on safe, consistent service procedures, accurate documentation, and maintaining quality standards.
Technicians troubleshoot issues, replace parts, and verify functionality while protecting customer data and following store workflow. Success requires precise workmanship, clear communication, and adherence to repair policies, ESD practices, and inventory controls.
The technician collaborates with teammates to meet turnaround targets and deliver a reliable experience to customers across varied repair scenarios.
Schedule ExpectationsFull‑time team members are scheduled for 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Store hours differ by location, and flexibility is required to work opening, mid, and closing shifts as scheduled.

- Perform diagnostics on Google devices.
- Execute board‑level and modular repairs.
- Document work performed accurately.

- Manage parts, tools, and inventory.

- Smartphone and tablet repair proficiency.
- ESD-safe handling and workstation setup.
- Micro‑soldering or fine assembly skills.
- Diagnostic software and test procedures.
- Battery, display, and camera replacement.
- Firmware update and reset processes.
- Clear, professional customer communication.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving under time constraints.
- Team collaboration and reliability.
- Accountability for results and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience repairing consumer electronics.
- Record of consistent quality outcomes.
- Comfort with structured service workflows.
- Prior Google device repair experience.
- Retail or service desk background.
- Micro‑soldering coursework or training.
- ESD awareness training completed.
- OEM‑authorized Google device certification.
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent credential.
No formal supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements- Occasional local store support.
- Up to 10% of time.
- Rare overnight travel, business need dependent.
- Stationary position frequently.
