As an Engineer 3, Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and efficiency ofHigh Availability (HA) Rental Systems, which are a hybrid of Cloud, Web Services, and Legacy solutions. This role incorporates aspects ofSite Reliability Engineering(SRE), applying software engineering principles to support infrastructure and operations. You will serve as a bridge between development and operations teams.

• Routinely monitor solution health and ensure all rental solutions meet established
  
  SLAs.
• Assist with the resolution of complex production issues, including performance degradation, capacity concerns, and outage events.
• Monitor and ensure system health during maintenance events (patching and upgrades).
• Serve as asubject matter expert(SME) in your area of focus and represent your department on complex assignments.
• Evaluate technology's effectiveness, research, investigate, and make recommendations for improvements to increase solution consistency and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of strategiccapacity planning.
• Define, develop, communicate, and implement standards, processes, and procedures for the team or department.
• Collaborate with Architects and recommend adjustments to the architecture.
• Provide instruction and guidance to less senior team members.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
• Must reside in the continental U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).
• Ability to work within U.S. Central Standard Time business hours.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in software development support using
  
  C/C++, JAVA, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
• 5+ years with Middleware (Tuxedo, Web Logic, Tomcat).
• 5+ years ofAIX system administration and associated tools.
• 5+ years withmonitoring/observability tools(Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Strong commitment to security-first practices in daily responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• General network engineering background.
• Knowledge of system/infrastructure testing, problem solving, and troubleshooting concepts.
• Knowledge of capacity planningmethodologies.
• Knowledge of hardware concepts as they apply across infrastructure arenas, including networking devices, topologies, and resiliency patterns.
• Some experience with command-line operation and system administration of multiple UNIX/Linuxdistributions.
• Some Database Administration experience,SQL-baseddistributions preferred.
