Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician
This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Circuit 11-5 Miami Homestead. The mission of a Senior Criminal Justice Information Technician at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to oversee and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of criminal justice information. This role involves supervising and guiding junior technicians, managing complex data entry and retrieval tasks, and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
Job duties include entering and interpreting vital statistical, financial, and technical data into advanced computer systems, maintaining accurate offender records, sending and receiving critical information and messages through various information centers, responding to inquiries from authorized personnel about information systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of office equipment.
