Job Summary
Trane in Maitland, FL is hiring an Energy Services Project Manager. The Energy Services Project Manager is responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects. They lead the project team through all facets and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. They manage a portfolio of projects that can range from smaller to larger multi‑building or complex construction projects and are knowledgeable in current job market and pricing strategies, supporting sales functions by developing scope.
Responsibilities- Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and developing communication plans with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
- Lead all aspects of project administration, including adherence to contract penalty clauses, analysis of reporting to identify deficiencies and guidance on corrective actions, ensuring compliance with business, safety guidelines, and governing agency requirements at state, city, county, federal and local levels.
- Financially manage projects: cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog reviews with leaders.
- Validate project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, setting customer expectations, and identifying risks with mitigation plans.
- Utilize qualified subcontractors, oversee RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate with subcontractors on communication guidelines for progress, meetings, billing expectations and safety.
- Create and maintain project schedules using tasks, dependencies and milestones.
- Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Project Management degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience with project schedules and construction software.
- Extensive financial analysis experience, including cost segregation, margin analysis, earned value management or similar project‑based financial methodologies.
- Strong financial project management ability with sufficient technical or construction knowledge to manage scope, schedule and risk.
- Prior experience resolving collections and customer financial issues during project execution.
- Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.
