Description:
A premier private golf club in Palm Beach County, Florida is seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to lead its equipment operations program. This is a full-time, permanent position with a well-established club committed to maintaining its course at the highest level.
The RoleThe Equipment Manager will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and management of a full fleet of golf course turf equipment. The right candidate brings technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and a genuine pride in keeping a high-performing fleet in peak condition.
Responsibilities include:- Full fleet maintenance and repair — mowers, utility vehicles, irrigation equipment, and supporting machinery
- Scheduling and managing preventive maintenance programs
- Maintaining detailed service records and equipment logs
- Managing parts inventory and vendor relationships
- Coordinating with the superintendent on equipment needs and course preparation
- Overseeing and mentoring shop staff where applicable
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of experience as an Equipment Manager or lead technician at a golf course operation
- Strong diesel and gasoline engine repair skills
- Experience with Toro, Jacobsen, or comparable turf equipment preferred
- Familiarity with GPS-guided cutting systems a plus
- Reel grinding experience required
- A professional, team-oriented approach to shop management
