What You’ll Do- Perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products.
- Provide customers with prompt, professional and high-quality service.
- Work at our location and/or at customer locations; services may be scheduled or on-demand.
- Travel 100% of the time, often four nights away weekly on a continuous basis; overnight travel on short notice is often required.
- Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all Aerzen Products at customer sites.
- Represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner while following all safety requirements.
- Install, configure, calibrate and maintain control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital).
- Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; understand controls narratives and analyze/process application related issues.
- Analyze and correct communication issues; properly address TCP/IP networks and RS‑485 communications.
- Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen Products; disassemble, assess damage, evaluate failures, diagnose problems and offer machine-based recommendations.
- Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs.
- Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to concerns, and provide status updates.
- Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis.
- Complete written repair reports documenting cause of failure, work performed, materials consumed, and equipment condition.
- Conduct customer training on Aerzen Products when onsite.
High School Diploma or associate degree in electronics technology or a related field. Five or more years of field experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
ExperienceOver four years of Field Service and Repair experience.
Skills & Other Requirements- Ability to read and interpret diagrams (dimensions, assembly, electrical).
- Proper use of micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauges and coordinate measuring tools.
- Ability to regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, welding, calibrated measurement devices, hydraulic equipment.
- Clean driving record.
