Electronics Technician, Electronics Engineer
Position Overview
The technician will be split between In‑Circuit Testing (ICT) using automated diagnostic equipment and troubleshooting through‑hole SMT electronic assemblies down to the component level with bench‑top electronic instruments. This role emphasizes bench‑top testing skills, including the use of various instruments to analyze failures that occur during manufacturing production processing and determine the root cause to prevent future occurrences. The operator will also be responsible for quality assurance and documentation.

- Bench‑Top Testing
Skills:
Proficient in using bench‑top test equipment (digital multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, function generator, etc.) for test measurement and troubleshooting on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving printed circuit boards (PCBs). - Using Automated Test Equipment:
Skilled in operating ICT machines to test printed circuit boards (PCBs). - Debugging:
Identifying and resolving issues in electronic assemblies using systematic troubleshooting techniques. - Protocol Analysis:
Monitoring and diagnosing traffic on communication buses to identify and resolve issues. - Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, data sheets, functional specifications, block diagrams, and other documentation from engineering, along with pre‑established guidelines to perform job functions.
- In‑depth understanding of electronic theory, both digital and analog.
- Knowledge of quality standards and production techniques.
- Demonstrates problem‑solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions.
- Effectively communicate issues to engineering and/or production personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A two‑year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in the test and repair of complex assemblies and systems to the component level.
- Ability to solder for minor rework and repairs.
- Manufacturing setting.
- Temperature‑controlled environment.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range: $23.00 – $27.54. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
